Hello EEC friends, community members, and environmental stewards. Below in this message you will find the 3/9 agenda with associated materials, community connections, save the dates, and in case you missed it.
On Wednesday, we'll be joined by 48th Ward staff to discuss government plans to protect Chicago’s shoreline. We'll also discuss the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA) implementation & ambassadors program. We'll also hear project updates, from composting to One Earth Film Fest! Make sure to join us on 3/11 for our film screening for the fest in Andersonville!
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Environmental Justice Permitting in Illinois-HB4093/SB2906
Historically, preferential permitting processes have plagued front of the line communities throughout the state of Illinois. HB4093/SB2906 would break down barriers so that communities are able to engage in the decision making that determines what forms of industry are allowed to move into their neighborhoods. From expanding civic engagement in public meetings to ensuring residents have the ability to challenge permitting decisions, the legislation is essential in cultivating healthy, equitable communities across Illinois. Use this action alert link below or contact your legislators directly and urge them to support HB4093/SB2906.
